Creative Ideas in Print Ltd. are pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Board of Directors. From the beginning of October 2012 both Gary J Calvert and James H Williamson will become directors of cip. Most of our clients and suppliers will be familiar with one or both of them but here are a few details about them that you might not be aware of.

Gary is (dare we say it) cip’s longest serving member having joined what was then H Jones & Son the Printers Ltd based on High Street in the centre of Stockport. At 16 years old, straight from school he was trained as a hand compositor by Harold Jones before moving on to printing on a Heidelberg platen and then litho printing. He now controls the estimating and production side of cip and his client/product knowledge is second to none.

James first joined the company in 1995 leaving for a brief spell selling glassware (no he wasn’t an optician) before re-joining the company. Currently he manages the Sales Department and his client base ranges from Darlington in the North to Plymouth and Brighton in the South, Blackpool in the West and Lincoln in the East. If he’s not at his desk then you can be sure he is on a motorway somewhere in the UK.

Both Gary and James are followers of our local football teams with Gary in the Blue corner and James in the Red. This makes for quite a lot of ‘light-hearted’ banter, not to be taken seriously (sometimes).

These appointments are not just recognising their contribution and commitment to cip but are also casting an eye to the long term future and to ensure the company’s longevity. We trust you will join us in giving them your best wishes for the future.
